before i forget - the
doha asian games have started! i cnt believe i almost forgot the opening ceremony was today lahh. sigh, what with everything that has been happening. but i guess the asian games will put my mind off things. mark chay wont be attending though, and was wondering why wang yue gu from table tennis wont be attending too - saw her at vivo that day.
anws, the website is really comprehensive - it has almost everything. table tennis have started ah, while li jia wei and her team got through, the guys lost out to korea in the quarter-finals. =( it's scary - just looking at the list of athletes singapore brought to doha, more than half of them are 1988 and below. wow. one disappointment though. the football team isnt even going to doha. ahhh.
class barbeque at 6pm later. yatta jan. cnt wait to see my former classmates ahah. should be a fun night out.
think i have been stressing myself up recently. i dont know - like i said, eveything's been getting to me, and yesterday it all came out. i think everything added up: calvin's email, siyu and joy's comments, project stress, recent events. i guess i need that outburst. so yah, thanks for worrying about me. i should be fine.

came home with a blasted headache from my bus ride. all the time eh. actually its because i geh kiang read book on the bus. found it in the school library - was a cookbook with recipe contributions from chef christopher, yogesh arora, chef billy (!) and calvin (!!).. haha. they showed the book to me before when it was first out, but i havent really looked through it.
was walking along the school main walkway today when i passed by a vending machine that had a piece of foolscap paper stuck on it. curious, i went in for a closer look. what i saw make me burst out in laughter - for it had written on it - [eating coin machine]. hahaahhah. i didnt know NYPians had a sense of humour.
sometimes when you are caught up in loads of stuff and people especially, you suddenly find things you should have noticed, things you should have known, you didnt have time for. im sorry! really, sometimes i get too caught up in things and when i turn back, everyone i thought was there has moved on.

in the library with azmi and andre now. supposedly doing our entrepreneurship, but we decided in order to encourage andre to update his blog, azmi and i had to update as well. just like a sort of influence. hahas. cherri just left, and here we are slacking. great. =)
whoops, had a great day yesterday with me moms. braved our way in vivo city because it was the easiest mall to go to from national library where i was studiously studying. hee. went for sarawak kuching kolo mee. steep price, but good. ^^ then we walked into tangs to the bobbi brown counter. was previously pissed off by the total ignorance of the MAC counter ppl, so i sort of decided bobbi brown would be a better choice. it was fun shopping for cosmetics with me mom, because we were bantering with the makeup artist there and inviting other passers-by to shop for bobbi brown stuff as well.
so i bought stuff! yay. and with the six free makeup lessons they provide, i think im going to have fun. ^^
school is slacking a little already, so it's a sort of a breather for now. well, go on to read andre's and azmi's blog for stupid updates made at the same time as me. especially andre. i mean, he finally is lifting his lazy fingers to type something on his cobwebby blog which literally creaks when u enter it.

i dont really know what i should write about, actually. just that the past few days have gone by in a flurry, i guess. no energy to write, or do anything concrete. dont know the reason for this lethargy, but just dont think i feel very good.
casino royale a couple of days back. realise i like these kind of poker casino card game-ey kind of movies. must get conmen in vegas to watch eh, andre. they managed to make james bond look more humane than ever. we all loved that scene in the bathroom when he sat by vesper to comfort her. ahhh!
like i said, the whole re-evaluating thing of a relationship brings back the memories. and whether im happy or not, i dont really know. perhaps this is what's making me tired. but there are things i want to achieve out of this, so i guess ill have to stick by it.
love the cheiron pictures ken took of us. we have a problem though. we sidetrack tooooooo much. haha, cherri used another two versions, i show these two. hee.

finally! a break before we start working our asses off again. all projects that can be handed in have been handed in; and today, i am so going to curl up in bed with a book.
movie marathon idea, though okayed by mr azhar, will never get through the tape of bureaucracy in scool. so, tentative location will be at cherri's house for now.. should be no problem lah. i think we should just set up some sort of film appreciation society or movie club or something, can earn cca points also. >_< think cheiron is visiting the student affairs office tmr.
met up with shawn and alvin just now to settle 4e1 class barbeque. didnt have time at all last week, and so i had to sit down and confirm everything today. heard about the gossip around my old class and everything.. making me look forward to good show on dec 1st. hehe. first thing we said when we called mr alan wong: "mr wong. you coming for the class bbq hor? what you bringing?" oh yah, need to remind him that we all 18 le. hmm. anws, looking forward to seeing my ex-classmates again.. havent seen some of them for more than a year le bahh.

in ibrc now with my classmates all scattered around me settling their project reports. im finally done with my PR, jason, sorry if i havent informed you when making some changes, but it's done! and it's out. hahas. jason is seriously cute wen he writes reports for stuff like national education; he's so sincere that he writes stuff like "i feel like i have to treasure my life, and i promise myself that i will do something to remember my country by before my last breath." and "when i sitting in one corner, i could feel something that is hard to express in one word." i laughed till tears came into my eyes lah.
dinner at home tonight. vance's Os are finally over, and i think he has been stressing over it for a long time alr. heard his L1R5 will bomb, but well, he can always come study media studies. =P at least his england still can make it. just that i hope he doesnt end up shoting himself in the chest because he's not used to poly life.
plans for the weekend! finally week five is over. and this is darryn here helping auntie vel voice her bday wishes! i think this is jason's favourite song. saw him on [the ultimate comedian] finals two nights ago (okayy, jace, even though calafare still quite shuai). back from a long day at school, but great yum cha session to end the day man. i think the whole of prata house was dominated by us man.
i know ive said this millions of times, but really, on the way home today, i thought again of how i'd miss chef calvin. he's leaving in less than a week and i know i'll probably will not see him for maybe ten years. and he still want geh kiang just before leaving must go malaysia holiday. ahh!
think i'd curl up in bed with a good book. really very tired. with week 5 being so hectic, its time for a break before pia-ing again tomorrow. take that songs puts me in the mood to relax. another cd i lost that belonged to me mom. heh.

back from my loong day outside. and i did everything i said i would do in my previous entry. seriously, im too old for this. almost dead alr. hahas. kranji war memorial affected me quite a bit; when you see the flowers placed near the names of the war dead, and read the epitaphs on the tombstones.
azmi's house was fun - best part: watching joy trash andre in def jam on the xbox. it was a long, drawn-out match, and we were all egging joy on. and i finally got to watch my power rangers: the movie! nostalgic man! we were all cracking up when it came to the power rangers' hand actions which we didnt use to think was funny in the past. hahas.
on to amelia's band concert in school. havent been to a band concert in ages, and i thoroughly enjoyed it. it was great listening out for the different parts, and how they all came together in the pieces. the trombones were a strong section eh. nice tone and good volume. made me feel i was back in rv band room during a practice; loved them all the time.
dragged melissa with me to the hotel. chef calvin is back from malaysia. i think this is going to be the last time i see him in ten over years, really. went on the shanghai jazz and had this really huge huge glass of hoegaarden. i didnt know they served beer in such huge glasses. but it was a really smooth beer, had a citrus-ey aftertaste. anws, shanghai jazz was so saturated with cigar and cigarette smoke that the air was freakin grey lahh. so i developed a really bad headache after gulping down the beer and breathing in the toxic air. hah! then calvin sent me home; was dead in the backseat. but i met this really cool hong kong girl who spoke japanese.. the both of us were excitedly conversing in japanese in the pub. think ill go back to the hotel to look for her. inasa! ^^
looking back at what ive written, i sound a little high eh. >_<
today when i passed rafflescity, i looked up at the giant christmas tree outside. it made me think back about the last time i did that one year before. the eleventh of november wasnt one of my happier days, but i think ive grown up a lot through it. and it was tt day when i learned again that people cared.

finally got my much needed sleep. a long day ahead today, kranji war memorial, azmi's house, amelia's concert, then yum cha-ing with william. i hope, if i dig out enough cash to return home ah. ^^" but really, i havent had this much sleep in a long while. every friday would be the day i replenish that.
ice hockey yesterday between milbank and muddy murphy's; score was tied in the first two periods, exciting! and our finally long-awaited fight happened. to me, it looked a bit staged, but still, they did stage it lah. final score: 10-5 to milbank. i think yt probably filmed most of the match down, so i can go back to her for replays.
there are probably only a few people in the world whom i can laugh like idiots with. and it's these people that make my day. yet, there are people i dont laugh with, but rather, the relationship is sustained because i cnt help but care. but sometimes, all is needed is a smile to show that you appreciate.

i will never cry in front of you. but sometimes you frustrate the hell out of me.
and the only thing i can do, is wait for you to realise that.

sometimes im amazed how fate works in wondrous ways. just one decision you make causes a whole avalanche of events to happen after that, and if you didnt make this decision, your life would have had been different. in [busukoi], the latest japanese drama i finished, there was one quote. wrote about it in multiply.hy, and it basically says:
there are 6.5 billion people in this world.
the probability of someone meeting with someone else is very low.
the probability of falling in love with that someone is even lower.
you can't not treasure the relationship you have with your loved one knowing that
the fact you both met was not by chance.
hor, andre? =P i think one day andre will look back on today, and think if azmi and i hadnt made the decision to go down into town today, his whole life might have been different.
that's why i dont think anyone should ever regret anything that has ever happened in their life. dont ever regret anything that might have gone wrong, but regret if one makes the decision to escape from it. im happy whatever happened happened, because if not, i wont be who i am now. i cnt imagine a totally different velda, and i cnt imagine being anything other than what i am today. and i guess i would have to thank everyone who has featured in my life, whatever role they played.
in case i forgot again, cheiron is back and functioning again, yeaps, for the second semester! andre, cherri and azmi. ^^ ica pile-up in week 5!

new song by CHEMISTRY out on wednesday. [tookage feat. john legend].. the piano part is really quite soothing actually.
just home from ice hockey. my eyes are closing. one report is done, with the millions still due by week 5. hockey today was.. enriching. i think yanting and i were a little noisy, so we sort of caught the attention of the referee. ^^" but still, a few good puck plays and goals made the matches really exciting.
